Very good product; priced appropriately. Used in well-appointed lawyer's office to hold two monitors, with keyboard in drawer, beside high-quality, dark-cherry-finish, traditional desk and credenza, allowing greater privacy for monitors and more desk space. Easy to move, wide and deep enough, but also small enough; appropriate height for typing, although it is a little high for extensive use (e.g., continuous typing for more than 15-30 minutes), so I put the keyboard in my lap for that. I may modify the drawer to allow fold-down of face. Looks great. Extremely sturdy.

Great Pedestal, Poor Packing. This is a very nice attractive pedestal and good quality. However, only 2 out of 6 pedestals shipped survived undamaged during transit. Cardboard cartons are very poor quality with minimal interior packing materials. (Cartons were all split in the same area... the bottom quarter.) Seller reshipped my 2-piece order twice. If repacked, I recommed purchasing.

That commitment lives on today. A family-owned company, Butler is operated by second and third generations. The Chicago-based corporation scours the globe to find the most efficient sources of production and finest materials for its world-class designs. When it began importing in the late 1970s, Butler became a leader in pursuing a global approach to the highest quality and value - a tradition that continues into the 21st century.
Butler uses only the finest-quality woods, veneers, and hand-carved craftsmanship in its collections. The Heritage Collection, Butler's flagship line, fuses enduring design, exquisite carving, and carefully selected solid mahogany and fossil stone into a classic line of home accent pieces.
All Butler collections are design-driven, immaculately crafted, and sharply priced resulting in exceptional value for North American consumers. Browsing through the bombe chests, hand-painted consoles, distinctive secretaries, decorative tables, popular British-inspired game tables, and other fine occasional furniture featured in this catalog underscores why Butler is recognized as a leader in occasional and accent furniture.
