Let's Table This Matter. I have honestly been look for end tables for 5 years. I have had such difficulty finding ones that were high enough and long enough because the arms on my sofa are long. Then of course there was color. How would I ever find the exact color to match my wood floors? Then I found these unfinished, not real modern but not contemporary end tables that I could stain the color I wanted. I bought 3! I could not be happier. My 5 year long search is finally over!
Just What I Needed, and Better Quality! I needed a pair of narrow tables that I could use as a server and a bar behind the dining table on our porch. A 20 inch table would have made it impossible to move around the table, a 16 inch uncomfortable. This console is perfect-exactly the right depth, perfect height to act as server and to fit under the windows, correct length for me to split them apart to flank the widest part of the table. They look and function exactly as I'd hoped and I've received several inquiries about where I got them. VERY sturdy, heavy wood--much heavier than I expected for the price, and beautifully styled. They are unfinished, which is what I wanted because I planned to finish them myself. Big caution--do NOT put them outside without anti-mold treating and sealing. I did, planning to get around to sealing them soon, and then we had three straight weeks of rain. Mold bloomed all over them (as it did to a much lesser degree on our teak table). With mold spray and sanding they have recovered nicely but don't make my mistake!

Founded in 1982 as a distributor of ready-to-finish furniture to retail stores throughout the eastern United States, International Concepts added finished juvenile furniture to its product mix, and in 1987 began an import division, expanding as a complete offshore resource, and moved to High Point, NC, and expanding to more than 200,000 square feet in 1994. in 2000 they recruited a talented team and engaged well-known furniture designer Carol Wheeless to develop International Concept's own, finished furniture brand called "John Thomas Furniture." The mid-priced, design-oriented line features full-sized dining groups that are casual enough for everyday meals but handsome enough for special occasions too.
