Great time saver & organizing aid. I really enjoy using this product, it saves me considerable time and since I don't have to take time to type all my contact info into a database, I actually started to save info instead of procrastinating. I work in Asia so it would be helpful if you would work on the character recognition of Chinese characters so that it would work for local contacts - I could also get my staff to use it then.
Like product. Pro: CardScan allows me to quickly enter business cards and then keeps them up-to-date (provided the person is willing to answer when CardScan asks for an update.) Synchs quite well with Outlook. Cons: The duplicate elimination feature finds about half. Would be better if I could specify which fields I want checked. Would also like a template providing an exact match to Outlook, so labels are same (you can do manually.)
Best value for money around. Almost perfect, just a couple of things could be improved. 1. Unit can be a bit reluctant to sync sometimes. 2. OCR could be improved, especially for Australian users. That being said, value for money and the small amount of time fixing data still makes this item a must have.
Great Product, Easy to Use & Works Great. In the course of a week, I will collect 10-15 new business cards. It's difficult to keep up with the contact information to sync with my cell phone. Cardscan does it for me, zip zap and I can imput all of these with mimimal effort. The only drawback is when you have a heavy Colored card, designed like a jigsaw puzzle, it doesn't pickup the information correctly. But that is not the fault of cardscan, it's because the card is hard to read...even for me. It does a fantastic job. I never recommend products or take the time to write a review. But this product is straight out of WOW....how cool is this category. It is worth the investment. [@]
This is an awesome little tool. We use this product to track our private clients and our corporate seminars. It really helps with seeing who we need to send certain information to and who has already received it. We do have an issue with getting it to work with our ACT but we are working with ACT and CardScan to correct the issue and feel that things will be much better soon.
