Looked high and low...found it here! I was looking for a comfortable sunroom chair with a whitewash finish in a world where dark finishes seem to be "in". No local stores carried what I was looking for and then I found it on your website. Spice Island had a chair which made the perfect addition to my new sunroom. When I asked if it was possible to have matching throw pillows made, everyone was extremely accommodating. My chair and pillow arrived a few days ago and I am a very satisfied customer who will be shopping at ShopLadder in the future!
excellant product. the is used for relaxing in front of fire place reading my bible the chair is beautiful comfortable and the sides go all the way down so if i drop something its by my side and it doesent hit the floor so i don't have to get up the chair is a little hard to clean but its was expected being wicker well worth the effort to clean
Great piece, packaged extremely well! This sofa arrived on the early side within promised delivery timeframe (yay!), and comes fully assembled. I ordered the "cobalt" blue cushions, and the shade is definitely a cobalt - actually a dark denim - shade rather than the medium blue shown in the picture. For me, this was a plus and looks even better on my porch (and better for stains not showing!) than the color I thought it would be, but wanted to mention because it is a significantly deeper blue than reflected in the sample photo on the ebay store listing through which I ordered it. What I was most pleased with was how well wrapped/packaged it was, and it was in PERFECT condition after unwrapping. Just beware that "curbside" delivery is exactly and only that (and in our case wasn't even on our side of the road - !). I had the guy slide it off his truck and into the back of my pickup so my hubby and I could take it out of the box and unload later after he got home, but not sure what I would have done if I wouldn't have had a pickup truck, because there is no way I could have budged that big ol' box myself from either curbside!

I have been importing since 1987 when I decided to make my hobby, collecting antique wicker, into my profession. I could not believe that no one was reproducing, and thus preserving, such a fantastic part of America's heritage. It seemed that every other style of antique furniture was being reproduced except this beautifully hand-crafted product, much of which was hand-made by Irish immigrants in the Boston area where the Heywood Wakefield Company originated.
Since 1987, however, wicker has steadily grown more popular every year and it now occupies the respect and affection it deserves. We, as a company, have come a long way since receiving that first container of wicker which we stored in my father's barn. I had a phone installed in that barn so that I could take orders, pack them up then walk up to my father's basement which was 100 yards away to type up the invoice. After forgetting to charge several customers due to fatigue, I figured I better hire some office help and we have been growing steadily ever since. We have not grown as fast as some importers because we wanted to make wicker that matched the quality of those skillful Irish immigrants of yesteryear. It has been an uphill struggle but we are proud to say, in all honesty and sincerity, that we have the highest quality wicker in the world, bar none. It is very hard for us to even find factories who will even attempt to make the intricate and complicated designs we import. We have been very fortunate to hook up many years ago with an Indonesian manufacturer who was educated in the United States and understands the requirements of the American consumer and who takes great pride in making the most difficult to make designs on the market today.
