Great for Our Purpose. I ordered this package for use by a friend who is blind and has other issues with using technology. She has been determined to learn how to use the essential features and has been quite successful. She was one of my first students 50 years ago and continues to wish to learn new things. The technician (Jessica?) who helped me select the most useful model was most accurate in her choice for us. Thank you.
Good range extender for a cordless phone system. While we don't have a large home, our cordless phone system produced a very poor connection for an upstairs extension. I bought the Panasonic KX-TGA405B and tried to install it. I neglected to read all of the instructions and ended up calling Panasonic support. When they started to walk me through the registration process, I realized I had not read all of the directions. Once I followed the directions, it was very easy to set up. While the status light on the range extender unit indicates it is only getting a "weak" signal from the base telephone, the upstairs extension now works great with a very clear connection.
Why remove the Intercom button? One of the biggest features I liked about the previous Panasonic Phone set like this was that the Intercom feature was a direct button on the face. Now I have to select through a dynamic menu making it less convenient to use that highly desired feature of my phones. Now instead of 3 button pushes, I'm up to 8 or more depending on the station I select. Otherwise, it is a good phone system. Only upgraded to get more phones and replace mine after a lightning strike.
KX-TGE234B Cordless phones. Excellent quality talk and listen and can block 250 numbers, but there is no DND (Do Not Disturb) feature to silence all phones at night and prevent answering machine to be heard on all handsets. I do not like the Silence feature because it the start and end times must be programmed. Just put one DND (Do Not Disturb) button on the base station to turn of all handset ringers and prevent the answering machine being heard on all handsets including those with Ringer volume set to Zero (0)!
Saved by these cordless phones. Now that I have to use these phones because my phone lines were damaged and I am only on cable, these are okay. Nothing like when phones lasted twenty years! They are not easy to use for the stored numbers but not bad. They are cheaply made with light weight plastic but thats all there is. I researched it and we are stuck with this system until cell phones are our only source. I Love my iphone but need landphones for the house.
