link2cell and call block make this system tops. I replaced my eclectic mix of home phones with this system, works great. The call block alone is worth the price. I bought a second system for a Christmas gift. I wish I could enter phone book via flash drive, but minor request as is can be build from caller id and cell phone when linked. A range extender is available. I bought it but don't really need it. Great product.
Got it for our daycare center. Needed to boost up reception in the infant center of our daycare center which is not far but the reception was pretty bad. It is easy to install and the phone reception improved tremendously. Does work excellent. Great solution for a small business like ours. Thank you.
KX-TGA450A Range Extender. Extends the range on my Panasonic KX-TGF380 DECT 6.0 plus system. I think it's must have item to improve the over all range and transmission of the phone system. It works on my system with 6 handsets. After registering the unit with the base, I had to remove the batteries from each handset to reboot each set. Now the hands are communicating with the extender, top green status lamp starts flashing when handset is in use , bottom green lamp is on . The Range Extender/Repeater seems to work advertised. Very happy with the KX-TGA450
Just love it! Panasonic makes one of the few phone systems left with the headset Jack. Call me a dinosaur, but I like to use the headset! Range is great, sound is clear and crisp, buttons are easy to find and use. Also just love call blocking features. Doesn't waste my time running to phone for worthless calls. Belt clip works nice and snug. If I could suggest anything, it would be to darken the display a bit. Thanks Panasonic for a great product!
Good product, lousy instructions. This little gadget works pretty well...once you get it set up completely. Both the included Installation Guide the animated "Deregister/Register" tutorial on this site fail to mention one important step: Once you get the extender registered with the base unit (as described in the Guide and tutorials) try to make a call from each handset which you expect to connect via the extender. Watch the lights on the extender when you make this call. If the handset connects with the extender the top green "Status" light should blink when the handset connects. If it does, you're good to go. If it does not, reregister that handset by removing the batteries from the handset. Reinstall the batteries and try making the call again. The green light should blink. I had 5 handsets with my two year old KX-TG6845 Panasonic phone. Initially only one handset recognized the extender without removing the batteries; the other four worked afterwards. I don't know why the one handset worked. Another weakness in the extender design is that after a power outage I sometimes have to do the battery bit all over. All the handsets recognize the base unit, but sometimes those connected via the extender lose that connection. Again it is odd that some of the handsets have to be reregistered while others don't, and the pattern varies from incident to incident.
Very Nice Phone. It has been about 3 months now with the new Panasonic # KX-TG6592T phone and we still like it. We like the voice announcements of who is calling along with the ring of a new call. The sound quality of people talking is crisp and clear. The caller ID works well no issues, the battery life has not let us down yet, we can talk along time and still have battery life left before we set it back into the stand. The only issue we have is the answering machine does not indicate the number of messages, it just blinks letting you know there is a message. So I would recommend this phone to my friends.
I haven/t given this ... I haven/t given this phone a five star rating, only because I haven't had the time to explore and set up all the features due, to the fact that I am hardly ever home. But my three year old granddaughter loves it; every time I call home she picks up, and I hear her so clearly. Still, this is my second Panasonic phone and I truly believe the company is synonymous with quality. I will always get my house phones from Panasonic!
Nice product, works fine, but I have a question. Do the extenders communicate exclusively with the base, or will one communicate to a second extender, such that I can use two extenders to effectively double the range in one direction? I'm at the limit of one extender, and would like to add a second extender to expand the limit further. If they only communicate with the base, rather than each other, this would obviously not work. Clarification would be good.
The perfect add-on to my KX-TGA680 system! This device did a super job of extending the range of my system. We are happy with the purchase. The item was shipped fast and packed right. My only advice to new buyers is to follow the instructions. You may have to punch the "Locator Intercom" button on your base station a few times till the amplifier is added to the network and both of the lights turn green. Be patient, the results are worth it!
Excellent Phone, BUT read below... Firstly I am very impressed with most or all Panasonic phones, and would like to keep it in the family. I bought this phone to replace my old 2005 Panasonic KX-TG5776 which had a color screen to begin with along with Ringer, Light Up, Picture, & Talking Caller ID. This phone only had two of these features (Ringer & Talking Caller ID). Also the KX-TG5776 had a USB port which made it easier to add contacts, customized ring tones and pictures, this one does not have it. Lastly the other one was expandable to 8 this one only to 6 although not bad. It seem like Panasonic is skimming on really good features from before. Other than those previously very important Panasonic features this phone is really good. Panasonic please make a phone with all the combine features listed below into one: Color Screen Expandable to 8 handset Answering Machine DECT 6.0 PLUS with RANGE BOOST Ringer, Light Up, Picture, & Talking Caller ID Cell-Link USB Port POWER BACK-UP OPERATION
Very Good Phone with Great Battery Life. We purchased this phone set when the model was first released and have been very satisfied with the phone. (The only reason I gave 4 stars for value was the price has since come down.) The overall quality of this phone is excellent. Great sound from the earpiece and speakers. Battery life (talk time) on a full charge is about 10 hours for us. Batteries will hold a charge for about 3 weeks. (Obviously battery performance will degrade as the batteries are used.) We love the fact that the batteries take the form of rechargeable AAA's rather than the proprietary battery of our previous phone. The integrated phone book / directory is very nice - set up on any handset and all the handsets have access to the phone book. The con is the phone book is limited to 50 numbers I believe, but there is 2 phone books for a total of 100 numbers. We also like the choices of ringtones and the ability to have each handset have an individual ringtone. The ability to name each handset is also nice. Setup and for most features of the phone is accessed through menus on the screen. Not too hard for people savvy with technology but I did have to set up the phone for my mother. (We bought her the identical phone set so she could call us if she had a question about the phone.) The ability to hear messages and manage messages from any handset is very convenient. Space is limited to 15 minutes or so of saved messages. Another great feature is the ability to hear a message as it is being saved from any handset; each handset can turn off this feature if desired. Overall we are very happy with this phone. Recommended.
Call Blocking. The best feature of this phone is that it allows blocking of phone numbers so that you can avoid repetitive telemarketer phone calls. The worst feature of this phone is that it only allows you to block 30 phone numbers. The desirablity of this phone, in my opinion, would be greatly enhanced if it allowed blocking of 100 or more numbers. When you use up the 30 blocked numbers capacity, it is a timeconsuming procees to free up a blocked number so that you can add a new number to block. Again, telemarketers are relentless these days.
