Just What We Needed! This phone offers excellent voice transmission, buttons that are large enough to see and manipulate easily, and the marvelous feature of enabling us to add unwanted telemarketers to a list of phone numbers that are diverted from our line after the first ring (and we can silence that first ring).
KX-TGE274S - Best portable phone available. I just installed three sets of 4 phones in a large house. They work together and they work well. Being able to link them to cell phones via Bluetooth is a super addition. We dropped from 3 land lines to one in our move. All the advertised features in one system have functioned well and intuitively. Large buttons, large display, sturdy construction, easy operation so far, great battery life, long range, etc. I have been a Panasonic fan for a long time. This is the 4th phone system from the company for us, and it is by far the best out there. My old Panasonic flat screen tv still has the best color of all the others, too. Thanks for providing excellent products. Harry Consultant in Acoustics, now retired.
Hold button is hard to find as its not on the phon. You have to go through the menu to get to the hold button which for work when you're in a hurry it is very frusterating. I would rather have the old version of the phone with a actual hold button. It's still a nice phone and works very well. Better thank any other I have used even with a hold button.
Very Pleased! I just received my new phones and was immediately impressed with the style, color, and compact design. But the instruction booklet was daunting, to say the least! Actually, I found it much easier to set up the system and to add the features I wanted simply by using the buttons on the handset, scrolling down, and making the appropriate selections. "Learn by doing... ." Overall, I am very happy with my phones, so much so that I have already recommended them to a friend who bought them as well!
GREAT PHONE. I got this to replace a new Motorola because others couldnt hear me. That's corrected, also no static, and I will recommend this Panasonic system to everyone I know. I have only had it installed for an hour, but have found that I can wade through the manual and get basic programming done - record greeting & activate answering machine. Gives good sound, and much more intuitive menu screens than Motorola. I also like the big buttons, handy volume control on side, and the earphone jack. Also it uses standard AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries
Good but could be better. We set purchased this with five extra handsets. It works fine. The sound quality is good. After sale tech support is good as well. There are, however, somethings that could make the phone better. 1. You cannot set distinctive rings for line 1 and line 2. We would have liked one long ring for one line and two short rings for the other line. You can only distinguish the rings by the choice of two different pitches. How good are you at distinguishing Ab from Bb? 2. Let's say you don't want to hear the caller's ID digitally spoken (we didn't). You cannot change all the handsets at once from the base set. You must make the change on each phone. It's not the end of the world; it just takes a little time. 3. It would be nice to silence all the phones from the base set (at bed time for example) with a single button. It is much more complicated than that and not worth the effort to program each time you don't want to be interrupted with a call. Like I say, a good phone system, but it could be better.
Great Panasonic Phone. Purchased this phone for my parents who insist on having a home phone. They love it! My Dad has a hard time hearing (who won't admit it might be time for a hearing aid) but finds this phone easy to hear the other people on it. Very pleased with this product I would highly recommend.
