This is a great training aid. Pops up in seconds and comes down just as fast. Reading all of the comments, you can't force it to fold up. Don't let kids or other parents fold it up if they don't know what they are doing. Easton has a great video on how to fold it, I highly recommend watching it. I use this mainly in my basement for my 9 and 10 year old to hit when cold or raining. I also use it with all 3 of the teams I work with. In fact, I have taken quite a few swings myself and had no issues, it is quite durable and has held up well, 2 years and still looks new.

I bought one of these and used it about a dozen times. Loved it so much that I decided to buy another. When I got the second one the frame kinked up on me the second time I tried folding it up to store it. So I took it back to the store and they exchanged it no problem at all. So I'm using the third one and about the 5th time I tried to fold it up the frame got kinked again. This time it kinked so bad that I had to actually crease it to make it fit into the trunk of my car (the first one at least twisted in half and I could fit it in the back of my van...I didn't have that luxury this time). I will have to take this one back, again, and hope for better results. My original net is still kicking strong after about 3 dozen uses. It still folds up without a problem, so I know I'm not causing the kinks in the spring on my own as I can fold up one of my nets without a problem and the other two I was working with were just a pain (I even take care to fold them slowly so that they don't kink, but these things just tended to wanting to go the wrong way). As for the durability of these nets I'll give them an A+. I so far have been using them as soccer goals (with plans to use them for baseball when that season comes around) and they are standing up very well to 7 and 9 year old kids kicking the balls into the net and stomping into the net to get the ball with cleats on their feet. Every now and then one of the poles will pop out of the rubber stopper and need to be reset, but that's not a huge issue to me. I think the tapered ends of the poles could be a tad bit longer and that problem would be solved all together.

Why all the hate? easy to use, lightweight, versatile
from North AL
Setup is easy, only two poles to assemble. So versatile can be used as a target for youth pitchers or as a hitting bay for any age. Lightweight and easy to take down. Simply follow the directions- takes less than 30 seconds the first time.

Works great for the whole team
from California, USA
Setting up is an ease. Putting away is just as easy. I continue to buy Easton Products because they offer high quality products for my team. I like the functionality of it.

They're great, Operator errors cause problems.
from Jackson County, Mississippi 39562, USA
First, the poles fall down if you don't install the rubber stoppers on the back. Operator error. Second, I have a 10 and a 12 year old and they both use it and it has never tore. I hate to doubt people, but sounds like they got a lemon. As for tearing twice, doubt it. Third as for how easy/hard it is to break down...there's definitely a knack to it. Grab two corners and twist. Once you figure it out, it's easy. But...the fact that you haven't figured it out doesn't mean it's Easton's fault. I like the net. My only complaint would be how cheap the case is. The net is only convenient if you can fold it up, carry it and/or put it away. If the case tears, then what?
Great Customer Service
I purchased the 5' pop-up net over a year ago. One of the poles broke during practice, so it was only used a few times. I finally got around to calling customer support over a year later and they are sending me a new pole free of charge, which saves a lot of money from having to purchase a new one. For that, I will stick to Easton. I do like the net for hitting and working on throwing accuracy. Folding the net is a bit of a challenge. Thanks Again.
Not what I was expecting
Not sure on the durability yet, but wasn't as easy to set up or put away as I was expecting in a popup net.

Pole insert fixture easy to lose
from Grayslake IL
The insert for the bottom poles that is needed to reach full assembly height came off in the bag and is lost. Not able to find replacement parts online
Okay until poles broke
from Maple Grove MN
Worked great until a pole snapped. Where can I find replacement poles?
The poles broke
from Memphis, TN
The support poles broke on this just a few weeks after owning it. It would not be that bad if we could just buy replacement poles.
The poles didn't last.
from Pickens, SC
The product was working great, but the poles didn't hold up and no longer work. Cannot find a way to order any replacement poles.
Great net, poles didn't last.. Need replacements

The net was great for this fall but the poles broke today. There are surprisingly no replacement poles.
Cannot order replacement parts
from Virginia Beach, VA, USA
The poles are no longer good after one season of practice. It would be helpful if new poles could be purchased. We love the net but it's just sitting on the side of house now.
Worked great until the poles broke and we can't find replacement poles....
from Woodinville, WA
Seems like something needs to be addressed about the poles - most of the reviews here are saying the same thing I experienced. Wish I would have read these before I bought it and saved myself some money.
Used two times and warped.
Got this as a gift for Christmas for my son to use. Baseball season started two weeks ago for my son, so we decided to open up the net. It was easy set up. Used for about an hour and then it was time to fold up. It did not fold up to fit into the bag. We followed the instructions and still no luck. So we brought it inside, big and all. The next day we took it back outside for our son to play. Set up again easy but fold up still didn't happen. Now the frame is warped and now doesn't want to stand straight up. We can't return it to the store since it was a gift to my son. It is still brand new. We are very disappointed in the pop up net. We have bought only easton products for my son, from the helmet, bat, gloves, tee, bat bag, shoes. They are all great quality except this net.
Can you say JUNK!
from Williamsville, NY, USA
Purchased for my 10 year old last year. Lasted 1 season and now the thing is warped to the point where it no longer stands straight/upright. He used it only a handful of times last year as the kids on his travel team kept hitting the ball over the top of the net...I now use an old Lacrosse net for BP practice.
This product is poor. Didn't even last a season.
from Honolulu, HI, USA
Major problem was folding up the net. After a few sessions, the net warped. I enjoyed all my Easton equipment I had past and present, but this product was terrible. I would not recommend this product. I am disappointed at having to waste my $$$ on this product. I am looking into purchasing another brand.
I would not recomment this product.
from Glen Mills, PA
The price tag on this net is over $100 and it is not worth 25% of that. The net did not last three months. It is bent and no longer stands up on it's own. The rubber pieces that hold in the metal rods pop off. I am looking for a replacement net and trust me - it will not be an Easton.
from Pleasant Hill, MO 64080, USA
On our third net and got to play with it once. First net was manufactured wrong. Second net tore after 15 balls thrown by a 10 year old. Have spent 4 hours driving to dicks three times and have got to play it for 10 minutes. First Easton product I have bought, won't buy another.
Not worth the $$$$ by a long shot
from Austin, TX, USA
This thing is weak. The poles used to keep this thing standing get bent easy and it never has stood up correctly. After hitting in to it, even with the stakes, it starts to fall down. Lastly, you cannot fold this thing down without allowing the poles bend and deform more than it started.
Net too weak
By Coach Daniel
from Sweetwater, TX 79556, USA
Net tore within a week of use. Net is too weak! Anchors are also weak.
Very poor bends easily making it nearly impossible to fold down
Unfortunately I cannot recommend this don't buy it is a waste of $100. The idea is great the kids loved it but the amount of difficulty folding the thing down to store it outweighs the benefits. It seems to bend making things worse just ended up throwing it away after about a half dozen uses because we could not get it to fold small enough to fit in the bag. Looked at online videos and followed the instructions to a tee and still it was not enough. The one positive review I saw on this website must have been an Easton employee considering that was the only positive review.
