Double Hunter Case with Skeleton Dial. This watch has a beautiful look and finish to the eye and touch It has impressive weight. It is important to depress the crown when both opening and closing the front or back case to avoid damage to the locking mechanism. When turning the crown to wind (clockwise) or counter clockwise, the motion wasn't smooth. One drop of household oil on the top of the crown solved this issue. I was disappointed that the front and back crystals are not glass but plastic. I had a watch repairman switch them both to glass for about fifty dollars total Overall this watch is very rewarding to own.
Very pleased! My parents have both been ill, declining health due to age (in 80's). They are not able to stay alone at night anymore, so my sister-in-law and I take turns staying there. One of my turns falls on Sat. night and we watch the bluegrass music on the Rural network channel. Your watch ad plays several times a night. Once my Dad (who has recently been diagnosed with cancer) said, "If I thought I would live, I would order that watch." That's when I knew I'd be ordering it for him for Christmas -- not only for the watch itself -- but to send a hopeful message that he will get through these treatments and feel better again. It was the perfect gift for the perfect time. Thank you so much. A grateful daughter.
Much better quality than appears in pic! I'm a collector of watches, from unique and kitschy to high end luxury brands. I wanted to add to my ceramic watch collection, and after purchasing and returning other ceramic watches due to poor construction or ceramic quality, I found this Charles Hubert. It is much better constructed than the shoddy ceramic Rougois 61098GB, and the band is composed of much higher quality ceramic than either the Rougois or the Armani AR1406 (it is very easy to tell by looking and handling the band. The Charles Hubert ceramic is much denser and has a much richer, deeper sheen). There are some things to know about this watch that actually were pleasant surprises for me: The watch does not have a sun/moon phase that depicts 24 hour cycles. It is a lunar phase dial, showing full and new moon cycles every 30 days or so. I found this surprising, but pleasantly unique. The crystal is slightly domed, also a plus. The roman numerals are shiny chrome, not white. The seconds hand almost perfectly lands at the center of each roman numeral marker every 5 seconds. One would assume this should be expected of the majority of modern quartz watches, but in reality, VERY few are calibrated properly so that the seconds hand actually lands on the center of the markers precisely, so a definite plus for this watch. This watch is fairly small (38/42mm with/without crown), which works well for my small wrist, but may be too small for larger wrists. Basically, if you've been interested by the picture of this watch, in my opinion, it looks quite a bit better in person.
Excellent watch! I have been a long time watch buyer of high end watches. Rolex, Tags, and I live an active life style. One one occasionc, I was mowing our almond orchard while wearing my Daytona Rolex, and a low limb in the row caused me to push it over me while I passed, the watch hung up on the limb and was torn loose. before I realized it the flail mower chopped it up. I was sickened a $11,000.00 dollor watch was destroyed. I picked up the pieces I could locate, and took them to my jeweler. They were able to salvage some links in the band, but the watch was destroyed. I was shown this watch by Charles Hubert for everyday wear. It was attractive so I bought it to save my the trouble of damage to any of my other high end watches, plus salvage my marriage. After wearing the watch on a regular basis, I am extremly impressed with the quality and apprearence. The only design feature I would suggest the company make id an additional safety clucth over the clasp for added security. This is a tremendous watch of high quality and craftmanship. Great Job! Thank you, [@]
