I used this for around for at least two years without failure. Two years ago my girls bought me a keurig for Christmas. My husband hates it. I finally decided to put it in storage and get my Black n Decker out. After cleaning it, it is working like new. I like the two hour turn off feature. I think any longer the coffee would be too strong. Excellent product!

I'm not understanding the negative reviews. I have owned this coffeemaker since 2012 and have had zero problems with it. I replaced it a few weeks ago only because I felt like after 4 years of use I should probably consider buying a new coffeemaker ... and I bought the exact same model. This coffeemaker makes a great cup of coffee quietly. If you keep the basket's drip mechanism clean it's truly non-drip. I also like the look of it, just enough stainless to be attractive but not so much that it glares. I feel like buying another one as backup that I can pull out in 4 years, just in case B&D doesn't make it any more. :) I totally recommend this coffemaker. Just want to add that B&D shipped the coffeemaker very quickly.

Makes good coffee - can set to strength that you want. But most of all it has a carafe that pours without spilling!!!! Please don't change that. It has a wide, deep lip spout. Pours great even when you're half asleep in the morning. Yay

After reading the reviews I was shocked to read such problems, I have owned my B&D programmable Coffee maker for over 6 years and it has been wonderful. I love the programming features. I love the auto shut off, I would like to see a way to change the auto shut off for when I am home all day and continue to drink the coffee. I have a Keurig, had an expresso machine and through all those I still enjoy my Black and Decker coffee maker. Thank you for my great product. and to those with bad reviews I am sorry you did not have the same great experience.

We have owned this model for 4+ years. It is easy to add the water as the lid opens up very wide and there is plenty of room to pour it in. We haven't had a problem with it spilling. We take our thumb and slightly raise the lid and it pours great. It has the great sneak a cup feature and doesn't over fill the basket when we pour two cups. I am actually surprised so many have had issues. We purchased another model for company to make decaf and it made us realize what a great little coffee maker this model really is! Wish it came with more SS bling but will be happy with what we get.

Let's start off with the fact that I am a taxi driver. I have no real set schedule but whenever I wake up I go over to an area of witch I live. I call it my coffee station. My Black, Black and Decker coffee maker sits on a table which I had to make because nothing else looked right so I had to make my own table made of oak from scraps I found in yard sales. On that there is containers of coffee too sugar stirring implements and a multicolored green, red, brown, beige geometrically designed tablecloth that's just a little too small which makes it look kind of sexy. I have to admit it is kind of a focus point but some people actually asked me is that where I pray. My friends like to go over there and make coffee or tea. And all because of the coffee maker that you made.

Purchased August 2014 because of appearance & cost, didn't need programable feature. I have not had any problem with leakage such as the reviews I have read here. I pour my water directly in the water trough, using the measurements on there. Never considered using the carafe as a measuring cup. I have never had any spilled coffee once its brewed. Not sure what I'm doing that others are not. It has worked fine every day, sometimes twice a day!! Would defintely recommend & purchase again. Model # DLX 1050B

We replaced another brand of coffee maker with this unit and have been very glad we did. The heating tray of this unit keeps the coffee much warmer than the other unit. Also the finish on the heating tray has lasted much better; because you are daily taking the carafe out and putting it back in the tray is prone to scratch; this unit has held up well. There are not a lot of features on this unit, which suits us just fine. The programmable feature does work great (make sure the clock is set properly). And this unit makes great coffee. We were glad we had not read the negative reviews on this site before purchasing. We have had a great experience.

I have been buying this same coffee maker for over 10 yrs and I make 2 to 3 pots a day. I just bought your newer model CM1050B and I am SUPER IMPRESSED with the carafe ! This has always been an outstanding coffeemaker lasting a long time through serious wear and tear. I compliment you on this new carafe, I LOVE IT!!! Not only is it thicker glass, but the pour spout is PERFECT. NO spillage or drips AT ALL and I am going back to buy two more because this is that utterly fantastic! I have purchased alot of coffee pots in my time and spent a considerable amount of money on coffee pots and I have got to say this is the best coffee pot I have ever owned. I bought it on sale for a white elephant gift at Christmas time and ended up getting it back. Best gift I ever gave myself. This is the first coffee pot that when you pour your coffee it goes exactly where it is supposed to go. It doesn't spill over the edges and go everywhere like every other one I have ever owned. I would recommend this coffee pot to anyone.

I purchsd prod in Feb '14 and left the carafe on hot pad for a brief time, resulting in spider lines on bttm. I emailed BD to ask if any repl carafe is avail. I was asked to cont them re this. I called CS and was told they would sell me the carafe, as they don't have a repl carafe in prod line. I thnked her but sd I wld just be careful with orig one as price gvn was a little high. This coffee maker performs great. I've only had one problem, but I did solve it: I had bought filters, but accidentally got the wrong size - I bought 1-4 cup filters instead of 8-12 cup filters. I went ahead and used them and they worked fine, but after a few weeks I remembered to buy the correct size filters. Shortly after I started using the 8-12 cup filters, the coffee overflowed. I didn't realize what caused it at first because it didn't happen that first day, and so I kept using the 8-12 cup filters. But the coffee overflowed a couple of more times and it dawned on me that it was those filters. I switched back to the 1-4 cup filters and have not had an overflow since. I really hope B&D reads these reviews and realizes that they may have some sort of filter problem with this model. Or maybe it's just a fluke...who knows? I'm just glad I figured it out and the coffee is great...and no more overflows!

In the past 39 years, my wife and I have had just about every brand of coffee maker and this one is by far the best. The carafe definitely does not drip when pouring and is probably the largest 12 cup capacity on the market. The temperature setting is just right so it doesn't have that scalding smell or taste. The design is sleek and clean with easy time settings. You use the basic flat-bottom filters, which are the least expensive. Brewing is fast. The price is low when compared to other brands, especially for its quality, features, and performance.

This coffee maker has great programmable features. The only drawback is the carafe spout. The design causes everyone who pours coffee to spill some, no matter hw careful we are. The spout would probably work better if it were more pointed to dirct the coffe though the grove instead of around it and on to the coounter. Otherwise, this is an excellent product.

I am a "coffeeholic"and feel I am expert on coffee makers. I have, in the past 12 years, used nothing but Black and Decker coffee makers. They are more durable, easy to use, and most of all, dependable makers of any coffee maker I have had. The worst thing that can happen is to wake up in the morning and you coffee is not made because your coffee pot has quit on you. Or has made a mess all over your cabinet because the water resovour has leaked all the water on the counter top. The dependablility and safety can not be beat. I love the automatic shut off, as well as the fact you can set your maker to have the coffee made when you wake in the morning as well as keeping the temperature of you coffee at just the right tempature. The versability to make just the right amount for you is a BIG PLUS. Also, your Black and Decker coffee maker is also a perfect tea maker for you as well. All you have to do is place your tea bag/s in the coffee holder and add the water anount needed and bam, you have your cup/s of hot tea, that taste just as good as if yoy had made with your tea maker or the old fashioned pot way. My husband and I are " Black and Decker people. We personally would not have anything but Black and Decker products. Tou can't beat'em.

WE had bought 3 coffee makers 3 years ago and one gave out and so we opened one of the other 2 and it didn't work so we called Black and Decker and they replaced the new one for free. that was very nice of them. We just had to pay the shipping and handling. We just want everyone to know that this is a great coffee maker that lasted a long time. It is so nice to wake up and the coffee is ready. thank you so much for all your help in this matter. other companies may have told us the warranty was expired but they helped us out. Our previous coffee maker was over 15 years old and its life ended when the power cord was accidentally dropped on a hot stove element. We have replaced it with this cofee maker. After doing the initial run throughs, we made coffee with 3 scoops from our coffee holder. It made coffee the same as our old one. Why improve on a good thing.
