Satisfied Customer. Very happy with size and looks - fits the space we designated for it perfectly, finish matches other woods in the room, and helps organize our large collection of children's videos. Sliding doors make it easier to hide the items and are never left hanging for someone to hurt themselves or "fall off hinges." Attractive piece and small enough to be unobtrusive.
Very pleased with my purchase!!! After searching locally and the internet for several weeks, I found exactly what I was seeking in a DVD/CD storage cabinet at Storage&Cabinets Online. The assembly was easy enough--you just had to follow the directions. I'm very, very pleased with the cabinet and the price. [...]
Fits Inside a Door Frame. While assembly is pretty easy, I recommend having a watcher to compare what you are assembling to the the pictures in the instructions. Had I not peeked into the room and looked at the partial assembly, the sides would have been assembled back to front. At best an aggravation to correct. At worst a completely botched assembly. I intend to get at least one more and perhaps up to 3 more. Then I can join them back to back and add casters to make rotating DVD storage shelves. With upwards of 1100 DVDs to store, this extra space will really come in handy. I bought materials to make 2 similar items from plywood. Considering materials cost, these are cheaper, easier to assemble, and don't require special finishes. All of these are pluses in my book.
good value for the money. -I ordered two units. I selected two "narrow units" over one singular "wide unit" due to "shelf-sag" concerns et. al. Excellent narrow design - perfect for hallways! -Good stability for its height was surprising -Shelves appear narrow-gauge. Though mid-shelf support (at rear) was included, only "time will tell" if "mid-shelf sag" becomes a problem. -Back panel was in 2 pieces (I ordered white), and different shades of white between the two panels were quite noticeable. (Since most of the back panel is hidden from view, I accepted the color/shade flaw.)
Great piece of media storage furniture! I have had this unit for about four years now and it is full. I have three children and it has held up against the onslaught so far. This unit is very sturdy for the material it is made from and the surface is very nice as well. I did take my time when assembling this unit and actually used good wood glue during assembly to add support, why not? Keep in mind that once you load this thing up, you will have to unload it to move it if you decide to rearrange furniture. The only real negative aspect of this unit is that the drawers do not have slide stops, so you will pull the drawer completely out if not a little cautious and this is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars. Great product and I wrote this review since I am buying another one just like it since the library has filled the closet again!
Sure, your music and game library is impressive. But where to put it all? Our media storage units are designed for optimum organization. CD and DVD storage is surprisingly versatile. Add an armoire with extra shelves, or tidy up a play area with a wall game storage unit. Stack vertically with a soaring tower media cabinet. Or, get your decor moving in the right direction with portable media shelves -- they're wherever you need them, at a moment's notice.
