Stylish, but not sturdy. I wanted a clock with illuminated numbers so I could see it when I wake up at night. I use it in my office/guestroom. I really like its look and that it is small enough to fit on a end table. The casing is 'faux', but it is pretty solid.(heavy) It has a turn-style alarm (so it cannot be set to the minute if you are wanting that) and there is no snooze. The alarm is a gradually increasing beep-beep, which is good for lighter sleepers. Unfortunately, the handle piece on top is plastic and broke within days of purchase after an accidental fall (on carpet). This was disappointing since , although not super expensive, it wasn't a bargain either. Overall I like it, with some obvious issues.
"Everything I had dreamed of". This Howard Miller grandfather floor clock is everything I had expected. Its elegant design will make a gorgeous heirloom for my children and grandchildren. I love the cherry finish because it matches perfect with my other furniture in my great room. It is for my personal use to tell time as well as a nice decoration piece featuring detailed woodwork. It has a beautiful sounding chime that will be a constant reminder of my 30th year anniversary at my company! The free nameplate is a great addition as a keepsake.
A Fine Household Clock. My husband received this clock in 1993 as a birthday gift. It has a deep chime that is very pleasant to hear floating through the house. The clock makes a lovely impression and is located on our hall table. The wood cabinet is as beautiful as the first day we received it. I expect it to last at least 100 years, giving joy.
I love this clock. I received this clock in 2004 as a gift for 25 years of service from my employer, it still works great after 5 years. It keeps perfect time and has the best sounding electronic chimes that I have ever heard. It sounds just like mechanical chimes, everyone that hears asks what brand it is. You can't go wrong with this clock.
A beautiful addition to our home. I've always loved grandfather clocks, but was especially drawn to the unique design of this clock. The dark, rich color and curved lines make a very attractive conversation piece in our living room. I highly recommend anyone to look at this, especially if you can see it in person.
A testament to to skeleton clocks. I have been a clock collector for about 20 years know. Of all the clocks I have which I've lost count of this seems to be one most people comment on. I love it for its great looks how easy it is to wind and how easy it is to adjust the speed if needed.I nothing bad to say about this time piece simple because I can't find anything bad about it. It is a true delight to have as one in my collection.
