Great Chair -- Very Comfortable! I purchased this for my small office (10'x10') [...]. The chair itself was very easy to assemble, I only needed a screwdriver to put it all together in about 20 minutes. My advice is to have a pair of helping hands towards the end when you have to attach the mesh back to the seat, but it's possible to do it all yourself. The chair is not small but it's not huge either, it does take up space and I'd say it should be paired with a larger sized desk. If you've got a small desk this chair might be too much for it. The seat is comfortable and supportive, although very wide and long -- I'm 5'11" and 165 lbs and at times the seat seems too big for my frame. I do a lot of computer work so I find that I have to sit closer to the edge of the seat if I want to sit straight, otherwise I find that I'll slouch if I sit towards the back of the chair against the mesh (but maybe it's just me and this happens with every chair?).The mesh backing is top notch and very supportive (even if I'm slouching against it). On top of that, the chair looks really high-quality and modern, like a Herman Miller chair that might cost $900.A couple of cons, it took awhile (about 4-5 days) for the plastic chemical smell to disappear and also it'd be nice if the arms adjusted horizontally in or out (they adjust up and down only I believe). But that's being pretty nitpicky, for the price I paid and for the value I get out of this chair, it's definitely worth every penny. This is a great office chair but would look great in conference rooms or even in a home office as well.
I'm buying one for my hubby, too!!! I use this chair while sewing and as a computer chair. It is the most comfortable chair I've ever owned. My husband loves it too, so I'm going to order one for him. It was easy to assemble, fits my body like a glove and moves easily. It is a little pricey, but worth every penny!!!
better if you're shorter? [...] I set one up (haven't found a place for the other yet) and have been using it all of about a day. Set up was easy[...]Sitting in the chair was not quite what I'd hoped. The arm rests are a bit low and are not ergonomic for long hours of typing. They are, however, appropriate as a task chair to be used sporadically throughout the day -- which is how I plan to use it. Maybe if I were shorter, my elbows would rest more comfortably on them...Not surprisingly, the mid-century "modern" look compliments our 50s home. I can now trash the old office chair my wife has had for years -- a gift to her from an ex...
Quality, Comfortable Chair for the Price. The directions should indicate that the bolts are pre-screwed in. I panicked when I couldn't find the bolts, as was giving this as a gift to my husband the next day. When I put it together (and I'm pretty handy), the actual seat looks crooked on the stand and it doesn't lean back. Help?
