Amazing phone set. In addition to the overall quality, I'm pleasantly surprised by the number of features that this phone has. Among my favorites are: The link to cell where the cell's mp3 ringtone plays through the handset. The announcement of the cell message sender's name. The 250 number call block feature. I took away one star for ease of use. There are so many features, a non-techie may find it to be too much. I did not have this problem, however.
Finally, a phone that makes sense & works GREAT. I have had two multi-handset phone systems in the past year. Both by Sony. The first set didn't even turn on out of the box. The second set did but only three of the four handsets worked. My previous system forced you to manually enter ALL contacts into EACH handset. You also had to manually delete the CID log from each handset. These phones allow you to update ALL handsets in your system from any ONE phone. MAJOR TIME SAVER!!! Final thoughts, LOVE the flashing light silent mode feature and LOVE the fact that each handset speaks the name of the caller. For the reasonable price, these phones are SPECTACULAR!!! A must have for any homne with a landline!!!
So far this product has ... So far this product has exceeded my expectation. I have four stations and appreciate them all being in parallel. I don't think I have mastered all the applications. I would appreciate an online manual easily accessible and a video on how to put calls on hold to answer another.
KX-TG6592T: Excellent Phone. I purchased this phone for my parents, who are both in their 80's. They love the large, well-lit buttons and display. They are also impressed with the excellent sound, including a nice, loud volume. They were simply amazed by the talking caller ID, which they had never experienced before! I set the phone up for them, have used it often and can confirm their comments, especially the sound. The ringer volume is great, as is the speakerphone volume. The handset equalizer and clarity boost both enhance the sound of the caller on the other end. The only drawback we noticed is the maximum digits for a phone book entry is 24, whereas their older Panasonic phone stored 32, which allowed them to store a full calling card number plus the phone number in one entry. Now they have to perform an extra step to first select the calling card number from the phone book and then select the number to call from a separate phone book entry. Not too big of a deal, but they had to learn/make the extra step. Overall, the phone is outstanding. It is such a nice phone that I plan on replacing my own older Panasonic phone (model KX-TG5672) with this new model!
Excellent Cordless Phone. Overall this an excellent cordless telephone. It comes with a number of excellent features. I especially like the fact that it uses regular AAA rechargeable batteries and not those batteries wrapped in plastic with wires attached. I also like the fact that I can program a pin for easy voicemail access. My only issue would have to be related to silent mode. For one thing I wish silent mode had one button access. The other would be that silent would quiet all handsets as well as the base unit.
GREAT PHONE. This phone has all of the features I was looking for.I would have liked more than 3 speed dials and the volume could go a little higher. But you can always switch to speaker phone if you need it louder. I live 200 ft. From the road and I walked all the way out to my mailbox and the phone didn't cut out! My previous panasonic would make it almost to the road. I also walked all of the way around my house and never lost signal. The screen is easy to read as is the key pad. I purchased a different panasonic at a local store and it cut out inside the house!!!! I like how I can turn the ringer off and call screening on only one handset. So if someone is sleeping the phone isn't a disturbance, but the rest of the house can hear the ringer and answering machine messages.
As Near To Perfect As You Can Get. These are as near to perfect as you can get. Large, bright lit screens readable from at least 10 feet; large lighted buttons well separated; ridiculously long battery life of handsets; selective blocking of unwanted callers; comprehensive operators manual. Bought one set for 88 year old mother and then for my own home when I saw how good it was. For Mom (electronically disinclined) I set up name IDs of all her kids' land and cell numbers in the directory, so now she can easily see from the display whether the caller is known or not. Using the directory for calling OUT took a long time for her to master. For my own home I purchased two extra handsets which were easy to program to the base unit. A couple a small annoyances - the answering machine does not have an audible alert for new messages, and even answered calls are logged as "missed calls" on all handsets except for the one that took the call. Otherwise, a suburb set.
Great phone(s) KX-TGE234B. Upgraded from a 9 year old Panasonic set of 4 phones which have never given me a problem. I wanted something with a larger display and this phone set is the one I got. It is great, so much clearer, easier to read, and the overall features are amazing. And programming is as easy as can be. Great phone and a great buy directly from Panasonic. I looked at 4 other online stores and they averaged about $20 more for the set than I paid...and I got them shipped to me free. Great job Panasonic...keep it up.
Good for now, great for the near future. I bought this intending to replace my land line service with cell service. For now, I still have the land line, and this phone is proving to be a big improvement over its predecessor. Because of bundling issues, I can't yet abandon my land line but when the situation changes, the phone will be an even more useful piece of technology.
Good option for those who need multiple handsets. So far, I am happy with the Panasonic link2cell system. We've only had it for about 1 - 2 months, but so far, it's been great. Our old system had grown piecemeal to 6 handsets but every so often one would start giving us problems. We'd replace it either with a single unit, or maybe a double, but they didn't seem to work in conjunction with the original ones. So we bought this system because it had 5 units all synced together. I also linked my cell phone to it but haven't had the need to use that feature yet. It was very easy to set up, even the cell phone part, which was a nice surprise. If it has a reasonably long useful life, I will be very happy.
