Sturdy, handsome chair. Our college dining club now uses this chair for lunch & dinner. Easy fold-up when we reconfigure rooms. Sturdy! Folding & unfolding is counter-intuitive, but once you know the secret, quite easy. [...] This is an excellent, solidly-made, attractive folding chair. I bought 38. Over the next two years I will buy 26 more. [...]
I love my new chairs!!! These chairs are exactly what I wanted for my Bridge and Poker Ladies group. They are sturdy, well built, pretty upholstry seats, and the absolute right price for my needs. I have told all my friends where I got them, and I will most likely be buying more for myself and/or gifts. I am so happy I found your website! Thanks for your accurate descriptions and speedy free shipping. SD
I am beyond happy with my chairs! First off the customer service lady, Dorielle? was wonderful! friendly yet professional and patient. Her attitude on the phone was what made my final decision to buy 20 chairs from you. If I had a company I would try and steal her from you. I hope she got a commision out of my purchase. Next I am extremely happy with the chairs, they arrived quicker then I expected and in really excellent condition, and the color was what I was hoping for they blend really nice with my other furniture. The only improvement I would suggest is a little wider seat, that and maybe a little engineering on making them easier to un fold, they are a drag to get open. On a scale of 1-10.. 10 being of course the best I give you a 9.9, (getting them to open is difficult) I have already recommended your company to several people. I use 6 of the chairs everyday at my dining room table and the other 14 are stored waiting for the next dinner party!
Would never know this is a folding chair. We purchased 6 of these chairs to use with the matching convertible console table in the fruitwood finish. The color is exactly what I was hoping for. We have a very small kitchen and no dining room, therefore, we need to maximize every square inch of space. These will work perfectly. We will fold them up and store in the basement when not in use. The seats are hard even though upholstered and padded. I would never be able to sit on this chair for any length of time. I purchased memory foam chair pads to take care of this problem.

All of Stakmore's chairs and tables are constructed of solid hardwood that has been dried to the proper moisture content for the North American climate. Why should you care about that? Wood used in furniture that has not been dried properly will give off moisture over time, shrinking, creating gaps in joints, cracking and splitting.
After drying, machining and assembling furniture the most visible part of furniture and the critical point that differentiates most furniture in the customers mind is the finish. Stakmore utilizes a multi-step stain, sealer and topcoat process to provide a rich durable finish on their products.
As we hear more about environmentally friendly companies - Stakmore takes great pride in being an environmentally friendly company for decades. For over 30 years Stakmore has utilized all of their scrap wood waste and sawdust as fuel to heat their factory and dry the lumber used. In addition Stakmore helps area cabinet shops avoid adding to the landfill by taking their excess wood waste, grinding it up and burning it for fuel. By utilizing 100% of the lumber purchased they reduce their need for fossil fuel.
Even the purchase of their lumber takes into consideration renewability. All lumber utilized in their products comes from managed, sustainable forests. Following managed forestry practices ensures that future generations will have forests and animals will still have homes.
