LOVE IT!!! Not too big, but room enough for glasses, liquor bottles, wine bottles. Love that it locks with teenagers in the house. Very attractive distressed black finish. High quality dove-tailed drawers. Cool-looking old fashioned glass. [...] Extremely pleased with purchase; it completes our dining room as an accent piece.
10 minutes to assemble with a nail gun. I opened up the box and found a set of instructions and finish nails. I am so glad I invested in a finish nailer many years ago as I would find it to be way to aggrevating to put this together with a hammer. My thumbs are also thanking me. Used a nail gun, pieces lines right up, and completed in about 10 minutes.
solid performer. I found this wine rack to be strong and solid once constructed. It is also stylish. If you plan to purchase this product you'll want to give yourself a large area to build it and be very cognizant of the pieces because it can be put together incorrectly and will still go together.Drawer could stand to be a little bigger for cork screws and bottle resealers.
Howard Miller = Quality product. Just what I was looking for and even better in reality than I could hope to find after looking for months. I cannot stress enough the quality of the piece - solid construction, the doors close with a well fitting "ca-chunk." The wavy looking glass of my vintage home is echoed in the doors of this piece and adds a wonderful touch. [...] Just order this piece - you'll be very happy you did.
Excellent Value. I bought this early as a christmas gift for my husband. I wanted to give it to him now (October)in case there was a problem with it and I had to return it. It was so easy for him to assemble! It is very plain looking, but that's all we really need as it's in the basement. It is a huge space saver. There was a slight problem looking at the diagram - it took a few minutes to figure out where to drill the hole because the angled piece of wood doesn't look just like the one in the drawing. But that was minor. If we need more storage, I will surely buy another. My husband is thrilled with it! I also bought him [@] (folding 24 bottle rack) as something fancy for the bottles he wants right on hand. That one's a surprise and I will review it also.
Installed sideways - almost. I mounted my rack sideways in order to fit in a small crawl space under my house. In that I had to first put up plywood siding, then mount angle brackets to hold the included supports, I would not recommend that you not try this unless have some handyman skills. After getting it mounted I added some simple hair "scrunchies" to hold the bottles in more securely.
Wine racks can help organize a cellar's-worth of vino, or offer a practical and stylish decorative addition to a living or dining area. For restaurants and other high-volume areas, our commercial models make a great choice. Turn your corner into a crafty storage area, or go with a hanging rack for out of the way convenience. Our kitchen models include sturdy, sleek metal & iron (some with glass storage), compact table top units, beautiful wall mounts (surprisingly easy to install) and even modern cube designs.
Choose elegance and plenty of architectural detail -- flowing floral vines, dazzling motifs, handsome finishes and exceptional strength & durability. Traditional floor standing wood wine racks add a finely-crafted familiar presence in the pantry, but they're too handsome to keep hidden away -- put it out for everybody to see. No matter your cellar size, accommodate any bottle capacity counts: 1-9, 10-19, 20-100, more than 100. For ultra-expansive collections (we realize some folks love collecting wine just as much as they love tasting it), go with one to hold hundreds of bottles.
FYI: The correct way to store a bottle of wine is on its side so that the cork doesn't dry out which can cause the wine to become tainted with an unpleasant flavor, thus racks are designed to keep wines in good condition longer; plus side positioning allows display of attractive and interesting bottle labels.
